- My Story
Thanks for visiting my page and for supporting me and the World Child Cancer team in the 2020 Brighton Marathon!
Before moving to London, I'd never run a distance longer than 8 miles in my life - with most of my 'long distance' runs being (mandatory) 4 Mile Mondays with my field hockey team at Davidson (looking at you Ginny, and go Cats!). Since moving here, I've put some serious miles on the Hoka One Ones, and after watching the London marathon last April, I was immediately inspired to join in on the fun and to do so for a meaningful cause. Fast forward 7 months, in November a new friend of mine (s/o Kelly O'Neill) told me she was running with World Child Cancer in the 2020 London Marathon, and encouraged me to learn more about the organisation and to consider joining the team in Brighton... which is where that story ends and the training begins!
Your support and any donation you'd like to make, big or small, means so much to me, and even more to the kids and families who will benefit from the funds we raise.
My fundraising target is £550. This amount could fund the treatment of a child with Burkitt lymphoma (a cancer of the white blood cells) in Malawi, and then some.
All donations we receive from UK residents before 21 January will be matched by the UK government, meaning your impact will go twice as far.
Thanks again for visiting my page and for supporting the team leading up to our race in Brighton on 19 April!
