My Story

On July 29 I will be taking part in Ride London 100, the biggest UK cycling event of the year.

As a keen cyclist, I want to use this event to give something back, and I will be riding as part of the World Child Cancer’s Ride 100 2018 team.

Sadly, cancer touches too many of our lives, and worse still too many children’s lives. In fact worldwide, 300,000 children develop cancer each year. Imagine therefore if you don’t have the means or access to the right medical diagnosis and treatment to help your child. This is the reality too many parents must face and is a key reason why children survival rates in low income countries are as low as 10%, compared to 80% in more developed countries.

World Child Cancer is dedicated to addressing this disparity of cancer care for children across the world, believing that no matter where a child is born, they should have equal access to the best possible treatment and the highest possible chance of recovery.

So please give whatever you can. Every pound, dollar, rand, euro, whatever the currency, will make a difference to a family’s life.

Thank you.
